Month 1
So as a newborn baby he immediately picked up the art of suckling milk and i had no problems with him latching onto me. He used to be all the time on my chest drinking milk ;) He used to have half opened eyes most of the time. But when he opened both his eyes it was big big eyes just like me. So basically the first month he was drinking milk and sleeping. and also crying when he was in want. By the end of first month baby Jon was able to turn his head from left to right and shake his hands
Month 2
This month baby Jon put on some weight and his features were clear. He even had a smile on his face. He was able to focus on objects close to him for a short period of time. He was able to be wide awake for a couple of hours too. He responded to loud noises around him. was able to control his cry. He was a happy kid .
Month 3
Baby Jon developed Social smile at this stage and was very happy and smiling all the time. This was the month he did a lot of things. He was able to bring both hands together and was able to shake his legs . When i placed him on his tummy he used to try and lift his head at 45 degrees angle. The most amazing part was that he was able to say " Akung " he kept sayin "akung akung.. " This was his first blabber. At the end of 3rd month he was practising to roll over.
Month 4
Jonny boy rolled over onto his tummy at this stage . He was able to smile at everyone and can see objects clearly and had good head control. he was able to sit with support. He amused me by experimenting with voices . He used to say " aga aga aga aga aha aha aha " and he just didn't try to speak one word it was a big line he was trying generally. He used to blabber some big big sentences like a song. He was able to touch his legs and pull his legs closer to his mouth . He was happily rolling over here and there. very very active all the time. He slept for longer hours during night without drinking milk. He was able to sit up with support. He was able to communicate well with me by means of cry when he is lonely or bored or in need of anything. He could recognise me and ben well . He amazed me with so many activities this month. Started keeping things in mouth . grabbed anything i gave him. He was able respond well to a rattle. played with his soft toys by chewing them. The way he chewed up on things made me think he might get his teeth by the end of 4th month Lol!!!!
Month 5
Our hero now started on first foods. The first thing baby Jon ate was apple and banana. Then i tried giving musumbi juice which he didn't like much. So mostly on apple and banana. Then slowly gave hm raagi also. He loved solid foods. As soon as he sees his plate or cup he will start opening his mouth like "ah ah ah " and not only this ..... he wanted to eat by himself too. he used to grab the plate or cup. Since he was too much into solids and started drinking less milk i gave him a bit of Nestum once in a while mixed with NAN1. Then i started giving him cerelac which he takes about 2 or 3 spoons. When Jon was in his 5th month 3rd week he was trying to crawl and also was trying to sit. So crawling and sitting on the way
Month 6
Jonathan started eating the following - apples, bananas , pears , cerelac wheat and raagi.. He didn't like formula milk much so i continued breast milk. He wasn't that much of an eating child.. hardly takes a mouth of anything i give and same with milk .. just suckle for 5 mts and that's it. he began to be more playful... started moving around, crawling, and half seated position ... always wanting to jump out of bed and reaching for the floor. And very curious like a cat. Used to make small noises like "Ka" "gha" "da" "pa" etc. Loves to sing .. Hehehhee. " Ahaaan ahhaaan ."
6th month 2nd week baby started sitting nicely . He was able to hold him up well in seated position. Also became more of an explorer and always wanting to grab on to something. At the end of 6th month he started to already stand with support. He used to always grab us and stand . He did a lot of things at this month.
Month 7
At this stage lil Jon continued to practice on standing . The amazing part is that two teeth emerged out of his lower gums . I was so happy to see them. They were very sharp and when he bites with that it was very painful. Me and hubby used to call him Piranha. He now wanted to bite on everything that he can grab. He also started eating a variety of other food like rice , dhal, idli , bread and biscuits . His usual stuff were still raagi and cerelac though. He loved raagi a lot. He still did not drink formula milk and everytime i tried to give him Nan or Lactogen he used to spit it out and even if he took it in , he would have taken hardly 25ml.
Month 8
This month Lil romeo had become a little thin and was not quite chubby . The reason i guessed was because he was way too active and was able to do everything a 10th month old baby can do by 6 and 7 months . He would all the time stand up on his feet and when i lay him down the floor he would be crawling big time around in full speed and will try and grab furnitures and stand again. I have never seen him sit idle even for a second. So cheerful and happy that he made my life bright and sunny. By now he started eating almost everything. and he usually gets bored if i repeat the same menu in a row . So i kept giving him a variety of combinations of fruits and vegetables. He started hating cerelac by now. so i didnt give that much. His main food included mostly rice and dal , fruits and vegetables. He still didn't drink formula and was breastfeeding. i was able to breast feed him as i stayed home and was happy that God gave me this blessing. He was baptised on the 21st of June and was named Jonathan Romeo in ALC church pondicherry.
Month 9
This month was very interesting . Jon was able to keep tiny steps on his own . But has not been able to speak yet. The only thing he used to say was babababa or dadadada or maybe sing a long song like ahhahahaaaah. Also we saw 2 teeth from the upper gums emerging out. so happy to see that. Unfortunately this month is when my lil baby got his forst fever ever. It was the 13th of July and a very dull day for me . My lil angel was down with fever with 100.5 to 102 degrees . It was really a torture to see him like that.. He was all the time crying and acting cranky . wanted to be in our arms and to cuddle him . I guess the fever was basically bcos of the 9th month vaccination or the teeth coming out.
